The GreenLine Hotels are a hotel cooperation for independently run hotels in rural areas as well as in suburban locations in Germany and in neighboring European countries. The umbrella organization based in Berlin supports its member hotels primarily in the areas of marketing and sales .

history

GreenLine Hotels GmbH was founded on October 10, 2001 by Suzann Heinemann. At the beginning there were seven privately run hotels in Germany that joined the marketing and sales cooperation. Since then, the hotel partnership has grown rapidly. Today almost 70 hotels are part of the cooperation. They are mainly represented in Germany, but some hotels are also located in the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland and Italy. Since spring 2014, the cooperation has focused on sustainable development . All hotels are certified with the GreenSign sustainability seal .

Hotel portfolio criteria

A significant proportion of the member hotels of the GreenLine cooperation meet the criteria listed below, but some hotels do not.

  • Hotels in the country or in the green suburbs
  • independently managed
  • personal, relaxing atmosphere
  • Regionality
  • high standard (3–4 stars)
  • 20-100 rooms
  • sustainable orientation

GreenLine Hotels locations

The number of member properties of GreenLine Hotels varies steadily between 55 and 70 member properties. They are mainly located in Germany, but also in the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland and Italy. There is a higher density of hotels in northern Germany than in the south.
