Green Mover max, type T-5100 in Hiroshima

The Green Mover max T-5000 and T-5100 ( Japanese 広 島 電 鉄 5100 形 電車 , Hiroshima Dentetsu 5100-kata Densha ) is the first low-floor multi-articulated tram (LRV) that has been completely built in Japan since 2001 .

The Green Mover max was jointly developed by Kinki Sharyō , Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Tōyō Denki Seizō and was first used in Hiroshima by the Hiroshima Electric Railway Company (Hiroden). The Green Mover Max replaces the outdated Siemens Combino fleet , which was used in Hiroshima from 1992 to 2002 until serious technical problems arose with the Siemens cars.

The Green Mover max (Light Rail Vehicle) consists of five articulated sections on three bogies, two of which are supplied with energy. The wheels spin independently and the motors and gears are mounted outside the wheels. The floor height is 330 mm at the door openings. A total of 211 people can be transported in this vehicle (type: 510, seats: 62, standing: 149). The total train length is 30 meters with a track width of 1435 mm. Driven by four motors, 3-phase squirrel cage motor with 100 kW each. Weight around 34 tons.
