Gregor Riegler (born November 23, 1950 in Perg , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Riegler has lived in Mauthausen since 1974 , is married and has three children. The trained magazine writer has been a “serious poet of the cheerful muse” since around 1990, mostly in dialect , and describes himself as “the pub poet ”.

Writing activity

Riegler was awarded first place in the Leopold Wandl Prize in 1993 and 2006, and he achieved further placements in 1994 and 1996. He is a founding member of the writing workshop in the Perger Theaterl and the Neue Mundart group in the Upper Austrian Stelzhamer Association . Since 1998 he has been writing the section “Der Windowpucker” in the regional advertising paper “Der Marktspiegel”. Since 2005 he has been a member of the PromOtheus literature group .
