Greven left of the Ems
Greven links der Ems was from 1894 to 1952 a municipality in what was then the district of Münster in the province of Westphalia and from 1946 in North Rhine-Westphalia . The community comprised the area around the city of Greven on the left bank of the Ems . Today your area belongs to the city of Greven in the Steinfurt district .
geography
The municipality of Greven to the left of the Ems last had an area of 51 km². It consisted of the three farmers Aldrup, Herbern and Westerode. After the Second World War , the Reckenfeld settlement was built in the northwest of the municipality .
history
The community was formed on October 1, 1894 from rural parts of the city of Greven and assigned to the Greven office. On August 10, 1952, the community was reintegrated into the city of Greven.
