The Große Glieningsee is located in the municipality of Briesen (Mark) in the Oder-Spree district in Brandenburg . It is 540 meters long and covers an area of 212 hectares. The Kleine Glieningsee is located about 500 meters to the south-west and is connected to the Großer Glieningsee by a channel.
