The Office Odervorland is an office established in 1992 in the Oder-Spree district of the state of Brandenburg , in which initially ten communities in the then Fürstenwalde district had come together to form an administrative association. As a result of community mergers, the number of officially affiliated communities was reduced to three. With the accession of the Steinhöfel municipality to the Odervorland office on January 1, 2019, the number of municipalities belonging to the office increased to four. The administrative seat is in Briesen (Mark) .

location

The Office Odervorland is located in the northeast of the Oder-Spree district. It borders in the west on the unofficial city of Fürstenwalde / Spree and Grünheide (Mark) , in the north with the unofficial city Müncheberg and the Amt Seelow-Land , in the east with the Amt Lebus and the unofficial city Frankfurt (Oder) , in the south the office Schlaubetal and to the non-official municipality Rietz-Neuendorf as well as in the southwest to the office Scharmützelsee .

history

On June 25, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg gave his consent to the formation of the Odervorland office. June 30, 1992 was set as the date on which the office was established. The office is based in the municipality of Briesen and initially consisted of ten municipalities in what was then the Fürstenwalde district:

  1. Alt Madlitz
  2. Berkenbrück
  3. To bend
  4. Briesen
  5. Falkenberg
  6. Jacobsdorf
  7. Petersdorf near Briesen
  8. Pillgram
  9. Sieversdorf
  10. Willmersdorf

On December 31, 1998, the communities Jacobsdorf, Petersdorf bei Briesen and Pillgram merged to form a new community Jacobsdorf. On October 26, 2003, the municipality of Falkenberg was incorporated into the municipality of Madlitz-Wilmersdorf by law, at the same time the municipality of Sieversdorf was incorporated into the municipality of Jacobsdorf by the municipal area reform law.
