history

Gölsdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1244. It probably fell desolate in 1432 during the Hussite Wars and was then settled again from Tempelberg as a Vorwerk . Five fireplaces have survived from 1801. In 1804 the Prussian statesman Karl August von Hardenberg acquired the Tempelberg manor and the associated Gölsdorf. He campaigned for the development of the place, which grew to 11 houses by 1900. 70 inhabitants have been handed down from 1925. In 1928 Gölsdorf was merged with Tempelberg and from 1929 was its district. At the end of the Second World War , the place was almost desolate again. From this time the story has been passed down that a Soviet commander together with the district mayor from Müncheberg only met one person in the village. They appointed this person, Anton Pospieszynski, to be the mayor of the town and thus raised Görlsdorf to independence again. In 1966 the residents inaugurated a new cultural center. It was not until 1974 that the town was incorporated into Schönfelde to become part of the Steinhöfel community with effect from December 31, 2003. The culture house was extensively renovated in 1999 and 2000. The residents are planning a celebration at the end of May 2019 to mark the 775th anniversary.
