history

Hasenfelde was first mentioned in a document from April 12, 1288. Erich von Brandenburg , at that time Archbishop of Magdeburg , entrusted the place with three other villages to the knight Reinhard von Strehle . At that time there was a village church , which was built in the 13th century and was rebuilt and expanded in the 14th century. In 1901 the parish had the sacred building rebuilt. In 1911 the Müncheberg – Hasenfelde railway line opened . At this time the place experienced its economic boom when grain was transported over this connection to the fast growing Berlin . The prosperity was evident, for example, in the manor house built by Rudolf Engel in Parkstrasse in 1914. During the Second World War , the buildings in the village, including the church, were damaged; the organ from the years 1857/1858 partially destroyed. The operation of the railway line ceased in April 1945 and started in November 1946. However, passenger traffic was discontinued with effect from May 31, 1965 and freight traffic on December 18, 1968.

On December 31, 2001 it was incorporated into Steinhöfel. In 2005 the community renovated the manor house, which has served as the community center since then.
