The Hasenfelde – Müncheberg line was operated by the Oderbruchbahn AG. The railway was founded and built by the districts of Oberbarnim and Lebus . It branched off from the Fürstenwalde – Wriezen railway in Hasenfelde .
history
On June 1, 1910, construction of the railway began. The line, together with the line between Fürstenwalde and Hasenfelde, was opened on June 3, 1911. In Müncheberg there was a connection to the Müncheberger Kleinbahn, which opened on November 23, 1909 . Both railways were operated by the small railroad department of the Brandenburg provincial administration, which later became the Brandenburg State Transport Authority in Potsdam, which set up an administrative office in Müncheberg Stadtbahnhof.
One of the striking station buildings of the Oderbruchbahn, which was built according to a uniform pattern, stood in Heinersdorf. In addition to a small service building, a larger goods shed was built, the hip roof of which towered over the service building.
In 1932, the administrative districts were converted into a stock corporation, in which the state of Prussia and the province of Brandenburg also participated.
Operations ceased in April 1945 and only resumed in November 1946.
On April 1, 1949, the Deutsche Reichsbahn took over the Oderbruchbahn. Passenger traffic was stopped on May 31, 1965, and goods traffic between Hasenfelde and Heinersdorf on December 18, 1968.
