The office Scharmützelsee ( Lower Sorbian office Tśemuśnica ) is an office established in 1992 in the Oder-Spree district of the state of Brandenburg , in which originally nine municipalities in the former Beeskow and Fürstenwalde districts had merged to form an administrative association. The administrative office is in the municipality of Bad Saarow . As a result of incorporations and community mergers, the number of municipalities belonging to the office has been reduced to five. The office is named after the lake of the same name around which it is located.

Geographical location

The office is located in the west of the Oder-Spree district and borders the Spreenhagen office in the west, the city of Fürstenwalde / Spree and the Odervorland office in the north, the municipality of Rietz-Neuendorf in the east and the city of Storkow (Mark) in the south. .

history

On July 13, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg gave his consent to the formation of the Scharmützelsee office. July 21, 1992 was set as the date of establishment of the office. The office is based in the municipality of Bad Saarow-Pieskow (today Bad Saarow) and initially consisted of nine municipalities in the former Beeskow and Fürstenwalde districts:

  3. Diensdorf-Radlow
  4. Kolpin
  5. Long choice
  6. New Golm
  7. Petersdorf near Saarow
  8. Reichenwalde
  9. Wendisch Rietz

On December 31, 2001, the communities of Dahmsdorf, Kolpin and Reichenwalde merged to form the new community of Reichenwalde. On December 31, 2002, Neu Golm and Petersdorf were incorporated into the Bad Saarow community. Also with effect from December 31, 2002, Bad Saarow-Pieskow was renamed Bad Saarow.
