The Brieskow-Finkenheerd office was established in 1992 in the Oder-Spree district of Brandenburg , in which five municipalities in what was then the Eisenhüttenstadt-Land district were combined to form an administrative association. The administrative seat is in Brieskow-Finkenheerd .

Geographical location

The Brieskow-Finkenheerd office is located in the northeast of the Oder-Spree district and borders the Schlaubetal office in the west, the city of Frankfurt (Oder) in the north, the Republic of Poland in the east and the city of Eisenhüttenstadt in the south .

Municipalities and districts

The office is divided into five municipalities:

  • Brieskow-Finkenheerd with the residential areas Brieskow, Finkenheerd and Margarethensiedlung
  • Groß Lindow with the residential areas Hammerfort, Klixmühle, Schlaubehammer and Weißenspring
  • Vogelsang
  • Wiesenau with the Kunitzer Loose residential area
  • Ziltendorf with the Ernst-Thälmann-Siedlung and Aurith residential areas

history

On June 17, 1992, the Minister of the Interior gave his approval for the establishment of the Brieskow-Finkenheerd office with its seat in Brieskow-Finkenheerd. June 23, 1992 was set as the date of establishment of the office. At the time the office was formed, the five municipalities belonging to the office belonged to what was then the Eisenhüttenstadt-Land district .

politics

Office Director

  • until 2008: Georg Pachtner
  • 2008 to May 2020: Danny Busse (by voting out)
  • since June 2020: Dirk Wesuls (Deputy Office Director)

On July 16, 2015, Busse was confirmed in office for a further eight years by the office committee. His second term of office began on January 1, 2016 and ended when the Office Committee was voted out on May 28, 2020. The office of the Office Director will be taken over by the Deputy Office Director Dirk Wesuls until the new election in July 2020.
