The big hook is a sand hook on the northern tip of the island of Vilm in the district of Western Pomerania-Rügen .

The hook is registered as a geotope at the State Office for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Geology Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania under the number G2_245 .

It protrudes into the Greifswalder Bodden and continues to grow towards the northeast. The name Big Hook arises in contrast to the Small Hook, which is located in the southwest of the island. There is a bird resting place on the big hook.
