The Große Judenplatz was a square in what is now the Mitte / Gartenfeld district of Trier .

It is mentioned in a document in 1360 (“uf der große plze”) and is wedged between Hauptmarkt , Stockstraße, Stockplatz and Jakobstraße and was probably located in the northern, funnel-like wide section of Judengasse of the former Trier Jewish quarter. Around 300 members of the Trier Jewish community lived in this approximately 7,000 m² area around the Großer Judenplatz. You had access to the square through an archway from the main market, which could be closed with a chain. The quarter is very densely built.
