Large horse

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Large horses are horses with a stick measure of more than 148 centimeters. Large horses are what is commonly referred to as a normal horse , not particularly large horses.

The term was coined with the advent of ponies in the 1960s in the recreational riding sector as a contrast to pony and small horse. Most of the time, the expression large horse means a warm-blooded animal , but it can also refer to a cold-blooded horse with the appropriate height. Today the term is also used in connection with horse liability insurance , in which the tariffs differ for small and large horses.
