The large stone graves at Diersbüttel are a group of three between 3500 and 2800 BC. Chr. Arising systems of Neolithic Funnel Beaker Culture (TBK) near the municipality for Rehlingen belonging district Diers constable in the district of Lueneburg ( Lower Saxony ). Grave 1 was excavated and described by Ernst Sprockhoff. It was given the number 690 in his atlas of Germany's megalithic tombs . There are currently no descriptions for graves 2 and 3.

location

The three graves are located north of Diersbüttel in a wooded area. Grave 1 is the middle of the group. 500 m west is grave 2, 500 m east-northeast grave 3. There are several other large stone graves in the vicinity: 900 m west-southwest of grave 2 is the large stone grave Amelinghausen , 1.1 km northeast of grave 3 the large stone grave Betzendorf .

Grave 1

The complex is of the passage grave type and has a flat mound with a diameter of 6 m. The burial chamber measures 3 m × 1 m and is oriented northeast-southwest. None of the capstones has survived, but all wall stones are still in situ . The chamber has one stone each on the narrow sides and three on the long sides. There is an access between the middle and the eastern wall stone of the south-eastern long side, which is marked by a threshold stone and two wall stones in front of the corridor.
