geography

Geographical location

Rehlingen is located in the Lüneburg Heath Nature Park on the Lopau , a tributary of the Luhe , between the extensive forest areas of the Robbery and the Süsing . In the municipal coat of arms, Lopau is symbolized by three waves, the former water mill by a mill wheel and the forest area rich in game by a stylized deer on a green background. The oak leaves indicate the five districts, whose image is characterized by the oak trees typical of the farms on the heather.
