Great stone graves near Linówko

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The large stone graves at Linówko (also called large stone graves at Klein Lienichen ) were ten megalithic graves of the Neolithic funnel cup culture at Linówko ( German Klein Lienichen ), a district of Ińsko (German Nörenberg ) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . They were destroyed in the 19th century. The exact location of the graves is not known. All systems had north-south oriented rectangular barren beds with clearly recognizable mounds and stone surrounds. No information is available on the dimensions of the systems. The largest enclosing stones were on the north sides of the facilities. One of these stones stood out because of its extraordinary height. Nothing is known about burial chambers .
