The large stone grave Gronenberg is a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Gronenberg , a district of Scharbeutz in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein . It bears the Sprockhoff number 246.

location

The grave is located northeast of Gronenberg in the Neukoppel forest. There is one way to get there.

description

The complex has an almost north-south oriented burial chamber . It is believed to be an enlarged dolmen about 1.5 m long. Two pairs of wall stones have been preserved on the long sides, the southern end stone and a cap stone. The eastern wall stones and the northern wall stone on the west side are in situ , the end stone and the southern stone on the west side have been moved. The capstone is inside the chamber. The north end of the chamber is hidden under a heaped wall.
