The Wittfeitzen large stone grave is a burial site of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near the district of Groß Wittfeitzen in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony, which belongs to the municipality of Waddeweitz . It bears the Sprockhoff number 728.

location

The grave is located 2 km northwest of Groß Wittfeitzen and 1.2 km north of Gohlau in a forest. The Gohlau 1 large stone grave is located 600 m to the southwest .

description

The complex has a north-east-south-west oriented burial chamber with a length of about 5 m. Only the south-western end stone and the three adjoining wall stones on the south-eastern long side are preserved in situ . Several other relocated stones, some of which are covered by soil, can no longer be clearly assigned.
