On July 1, 1972 the communities Bischof, Diahren, Dickfeitzen, Dommatzen, Gohlau, Groß Gaddau, Kiefen, Klein Gaddau, Kukate, Marlin, Salderatzen, Schlanze, Wittfeitzen and Zebelin were incorporated.

Religions
In the municipality Waddeweitz there are the two Lutheran churches Zebelin and Wittfeitzen that a common Rectory in coasts with the parishes Peace Church coasts , Krummasel and Meuchefitz have. The Dickfeitzen chapel community is connected to the parish in Clenze .
The youth workshop of the Diakonie, an institution of the Lüchow-Dannenberg church district, is housed in the former parish hall in Zebelin .
In addition to the two cemeteries of the parishes in Wittfeitzen and Zebelin, there is also a small cemetery of the village community of Kiefen.
Churches
The field stone church in Zebelin was mentioned for the first time in the 15th century. The pulpit altar is from the 17th century. The church has been renovated since 2010 and the color scheme from 1910 restored.
Wittfeitzen has been a church town since the Middle Ages . Today's brick church was built in the neo-Gothic style in 1872 and has an organ made by P. Furtwängler & Hammer .
Around 1900 a small, simple chapel with a roof turret and a small bell from 1975 was built in Dickfeitzen .
