Prezelle is a municipality in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony and forms the Gartow municipality with four other member municipalities .
geography
Geographical location
Prezelle is located directly on the southwestern edge of the Gartower Forest about ten kilometers south of the Elbe . The community belongs to the gartow to which its administrative headquarters in the spots Gartow has.
Community structure
The municipality of Prezelle consists of the following districts:
- Prezelle with settlement Prezelle and Wirl (several forest buildings)
- Lomitz
- lance
Settlement Prezelle and Wirl are two exclaves that are located within the municipality-free Gartow area.
history
On July 1, 1972, the communities Lanze and Lomitz were incorporated.
Religions
In the municipality Prezelle there is the Evangelical Lutheran parishes Prezelle and lance and the chapel community Lomitz who have come together to form a joint venture. The parishes have a common pastoral office in Trebel with the parishes of Woltersdorf and Trebel.

Culture and sights
The list of monuments in Prezelle includes all the monuments of the municipality of Prezelle.
The Patronatskirche of Prezelle was 1752 Count Bernstorff build. The clinker brick building was supplemented by a tower and an apse in the 19th century . Inside, the church impresses with its brightness. The organ was built in 1984 by the organ builder Alfred Führer behind an organ front from 1872 by Rohlfing .
The church in Lanze replaced a building built at the beginning of the century in 1876. The neo-Gothic style of the church can also be found in the altarpiece and the pulpit . Folkert Becker's organ was built in 1877.
The Lomitzer Chapel was built in 1879 in a neo-Gothic style with small turrets on the west tower that are typical of this style. The modern pulpit was built in 1981.

The IGAS Wendland eV annually organizes the Wendland84er with the target area in Prezelle, an inline speed skating event. a. the German endurance championship is held on the double marathon distance (84.39 km).
Others
The television film The Dubrow Crisis (1969, author: Wolfgang Menge , director: Eberhard Itzenplitz ) was shot in Prezelle. Villagers also played minor roles in it. Interior shots were also shot on site, for example in the Dorfkrug temporarily rededicated as a cultural center.
