Maddau is a district of the municipality of Waddeweitz in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony .

geography

The village is two kilometers north of Waddeweitz and north of the B 493 in Hohen Drawehn .

history

For the year 1848 it is stated that part of the village with six residential buildings with 36 inhabitants belonged to the office of Dannenberg , while the other part with six residential buildings and 40 inhabitants belonged to the office of Lüchow . At the time the place was parish to Groß Wittfeitzen , where the school was located. In 1852 Maddau moved from the Dannenberg office to the newly formed Clenze office . On December 1, 1910, Maddau had 70 inhabitants and was an independent municipality in the Lüchow district .
