The Əmək Order ( Azerbaijani : “Əmək” ordeni , in German: Order of Labor or Labor Order ) is an order of the Republic of Azerbaijan . When it was launched in January 2017, it was the lowest of nine orders of the Republic of Azerbaijan ; since the end of 2017 he is the lowest of ten medals in the republic. The medal is awarded in three classes.

The fourth President of Azerbaijan İlham Əliyev saw the need to establish an Order of Labor when he attended a conference on cotton cultivation in Sabirabad in September 2016 . In the plenary session of the Milli Məclis (National Assembly) on November 29, 2016, the chairman of the Committee on Legal Policy and Statehood Əli Hüseynli presented a corresponding bill, which was approved by the MPs. Law No. 428-VQD of November 29, 2016 “on the amendment of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan 'On the establishment of orders and medals of the Republic of Azerbaijan' was related to the Decree No. 1210 signed by the President on January 25, 2017 in force with the establishment of the 'Əmək' Order of the Republic of Azerbaijan ”.

Award criteria and wearing style

“Article 1. Persons to be awarded

1.1. The 'Əmək' Order of the Republic of Azerbaijan is awarded to the citizens of Azerbaijan, foreign citizens and stateless persons for exceptional work aimed at the development and prosperity of the Azerbaijan Republic in any field of activity, including:
1.1.1. long-term productive work in industry, agriculture, construction, transportation, trade, craft, nursing and other work in science, education, health, culture, physical education, sports and other fields;
1.1.2. high achievements influencing the development of agriculture in the production (processing) of agricultural products;
1.1.3. high performances that affect labor productivity and product quality and increase the competitiveness of the country's economy;
1.1.4. the production of high quality products and the introduction and development of new technologies and techniques.
1.2. The 'Əmək' order of the Republic of Azerbaijan is awarded in three classes.
1.3. The 'Əmək' order 1st class is the highest class.

Article 2. Awarding authority
The “Əmək” medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan is awarded to the persons referred to in Article 1 of these statutes by the competent executive authority.

Article 3.
How to wear the 'Əmək' order is worn on the left side of the chest and in the presence of other orders and medals of the Azerbaijan Republic according to the 'Vətənə-xidmətə-görə' order. "
