The Groov'sche Loch is a humid wet area with an alluvial forest of willows in a former sanding in the Reuschenberger Busch in Neuss near Reuschenberg . It was created from a former clay pit of the Groov family. Today it is a habitat for fish, birds and amphibians. It is fed by the introduction of water from the upper part , which is controlled by a valve.

In November 2015, more than 200 fish (186 carp, 26 catfish and some crucian carp ) had to be rescued in the Silbersee after the water had dried up due to construction work on the Epanchoir . The water flow to the upper floor itself is regulated by the empellement .
