The Grote Kerk ( German  Great Church ) is an Evangelical Reformed parish church in Groede (municipality of Sluis , province of Zeeland ) in the Netherlands .

history

The Grote Kerk was consecrated to St. Bavo until the Reformation . It is a three-aisled hall church, the core of which goes back to the 13th century. The arcades now closed between the nave and the south aisle date from this time. The west tower with its octagonal structure dates from the 14th century. The nave and north aisle were built in the 15th century, the south aisle was added around 1500. The choir is closed on three sides, the side aisles have a straight end.

The Grote Kerk von Groede today belongs to a Reformed congregation within the United Protestant Church in the Netherlands .
