The Regnitzlosau primary school is the only school in the Upper Franconian community of Regnitzlosau .
history
A first school in Regnitzlosau is mentioned as early as 1601. The first schoolhouse from 1615 burned down shortly after it was built. The successor building from 1660 was replaced in 1803 by the current building above the rectory of St. Aegidienkirche . The school was then housed in the former town hall until 1965, before the new school building at Schulstrasse 11 was inaugurated in 1965 after the old school became too small due to the schooling of the children from the districts. A special feature was the school's teaching pool. In 1989 a gym with outdoor facilities was added. Up to the 21st century, pupils up to the sixth grade were taught in Regnitzlosau. A few years ago the partial secondary school was closed and the elementary school became a pure elementary school.
Working groups
The school offers leisure activities outside of class. The AG Schulgarten plants the green areas around the school and takes care of a rabbit hutch, the AG Informatik imparts basic knowledge in dealing with computers.
