Group SE

The group SE (SE for slalom beginners) is a national group of vehicles in car racing , the 1998 by the DMSB was launched. It was supposed to close the gap between kart and automobile slalom . Nowadays it is supposed to bridge the gap between the now more widespread club slalom and the DMSB slalom.

Only cars ( touring cars and GT vehicles) with at least two doors are permitted . When participating in an automobile slalom, they must be approved for use on public roads or have a DMSB car pass for Group SE. In addition, they must always have a valid examination of the engine management and emission control system. Further restrictions are the maximum height of 1600 mm and the minimum year of construction 1966. Technical modifications compared to the series are only possible within the framework of an approval according to StVZO . A roll bar or cage is not required.

In class SE it is even possible to participate from the age of 16, provided that the driver has a national junior license. In addition, slalom organizers are free to advertise this class, for example if the course would be too challenging for slalom beginners.
