Group work (didactics)
The group work in the didactics is a temporary cooperation of a group of students (often three to six) or participants in a training course with the purpose of communication and cooperative solution of tasks or problems. A well-known founder and theorist of this approach was Hugo Gaudig .
clientele
Group work is didactically differentiated according to the addressee, whether an offer, a unit, a content, a topic is aimed at a certain clientele.
Depending on the target groups , a distinction is made between the following categories:
- by age of people (children, adolescents, young adults, adults, seniors and very old people)
- according to religious, social, gender, cultural and national origin and identity
- according to resources or social problems (e.g. athletes , gifted people , illiterate people , disabled people , sick people , addicts , non-smokers etc. ...)
This type of group work is designed to suppress aggressive behavior and to teach participants how to deal with criticism. The social competence is trained here.
preparation
The teaching staff must explain the goals and assignments, and possibly also the evaluation criteria, beforehand in the plenary . Written work orders and prepared material are just as natural as a schedule. Following the group work, the results and solutions can optionally be presented.
