Gryf Słupsk is a Polish football club from Słupsk ( Stolp ) in the Pomeranian Voivodeship .
history
Gryf Słupsk was created in 1956 as LKS Gryf Słupsk through the merger of the ZKS Stal , ZKS Unia , ZKS Sparta and KS Traktor associations . In 1964, the club merged with the Gwardia Slupsk club, which was founded in 1946 and won the West Pomeranian championship in 1949, to form the Zjednoczony Gwardyjski Klub Sportowy Gryf . Later they returned to the current name. The club's greatest successes were participation in the second Polish league from 1981 to 1983, where they finished fifth in 1982, and reaching the second round in Puchar Polski in 1976/77.
On February 24, 2011 the association was converted into a stock corporation.
Stadion
The club has played its home games in the 1,500-seat stadium at ulica Zielona 9 since the 1960s. Gryf also has an artificial turf pitch with lighting. Before the Second World War , Gryf's venue was home to the German club SV Germania Stolp .
