Gschwendt is part of the municipality in Bavaria . The place belongs to the political municipality Edling , district Rosenheim , administrative region Upper Bavaria and has about 200 inhabitants.

The members of the local Roman Catholic Church are cared for by the Catholic parish of St. Cyriakus, Edling - dean's office in Wasserburg, Archdiocese of Munich and Freising .

Since mid-2019, the district in the south has been expanded through the development of the “Böhmerwaldweg” residential area.
