Guahibo languages
The Guahibo languages are a small indigenous South American language family that consists of five individual languages :
- Guahibo (Spanish spelling: Guajibo, also: Sikuani) [guh] (approx. 34,000 speakers)
- Cuiba (also: Cuiba-Wámonae) [cui] (approx. 2,800 speakers)
- Guayabero [guo] (approx. 2,000 speakers)
- Macaguán (also: Jitnʉ) [mbn] (approx. 1,000 speakers)
- Playero [gob] (approx. 240 speakers)

These languages are mainly spoken in Colombia , but some of their distribution areas extend as far as Venezuela .
