The Gualla were an ethnic group who had lived in the area around Cuzco , Peru since prehistoric times . They lived near what would later become Arcu Puncu, a gate that was built in Cuzco during the early Spanish occupation and through which the road to Lake Titicaca ran . They were attacked by the Inca and killed without exception.
