Gudrun Kopp (politician, 1940)

Gudrun Kopp (born December 12, 1940 in Remscheid ) is a Lower Saxony politician ( FDP ) and was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Profession and volunteering

After attending elementary school and high school in Rheydt and Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth, Kopp began her training as a medical-technical assistant in Heide / Holstein. She began working in virus research at the University of Cologne and was in charge of the clinical laboratory at the Ferdinand Sauerbruch Hospital in Wuppertal until 1968. This was followed by a family-related career break. Since 1974 she was a member of the school parents' council at the Gehrden schools and was temporarily chairman of the school parents' council, chairman of the city council and member of the district parents' council.

politics

Kopp joined the FDP as a member in 1976. She became local chairperson and was deputy district chairperson for the Hanover-Land district. From 1988 to 1990 she was a member of the state executive committee of her party. Since 1981 she was city councilor of the city of Gehrden and took over the chairmanship of the FDP parliamentary group in 1984. She was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament in the twelfth electoral period from June 21, 1990 to June 20, 1994. She chaired the Committee on Public Service Law from January 28, 1991 to June 20, 1994.
