Somersault (singer)

Somersault (* the thirtieth December 1969 as Gudrun Allwang, civic Gudrun Mitter Meier) is a German singer .

Life

Gudrun Mittermeier studied physics . In 1998 she married her long-time friend, comedian Michael Mittermeier . She became known in 2001 as Somersault through her first single Way to Mars , which she recorded with Xavier Naidoo . Originally it was a contribution to a music project by her husband called Mittermeier & Friends . In addition to the cooperation with Naidoo, the songs Make Me Laugh and Say Goodbye by Somersault were also there.

After the success of the single release, the solo album By Your Side was released at the end of 2003 ; In May 2006 the second album Paperwalls followed . In 2008 she became the mother of a daughter. Her third album, The Solitude & Me , was released on September 3, 2010. She was also an assistant director on Mittermeier's stage programs Back To Life , Paranoid , StandUp and Safari . The song Fade Away is the title track of the film Goethe! .
