The Gufufjörður is a small inlet in Breiðafjörður in the westfjords Islands .
It branches off first from Þorskafjörður , to the east lies Djúpifjörður . Gufufjörður is so flat that it can be mistaken for a watt. Vestfjarðavegur runs along its west bank and is not yet asphalted here. There are plans to improve and shorten the course of the road in this area.
