Guido Hertel (psychologist)

Guido Hertel (born June 19, 1963 ) is a German psychologist and university professor .

Career

Guido Hertel studied psychology at the University of Gießen (graduated in 1991) and received his doctorate in 1995 from the University of Heidelberg . In 2002 he completed his habilitation at the University of Kiel . From 2004 he was professor for work, industrial and organizational psychology at the University of Würzburg . In 2008 he moved to the University of Münster , where he took over the management of the organizational and business psychology department .

His research focuses on the following topics: management of virtual teams, open source / open content projects and work motivation over the lifespan. Hertel has published over 40 articles in international journals.
