Guido III. (Châlons)

Guido von Joinville (* before 1110; † 1190 in Palestine ) was named Guido III. Bishop of Châlons .

Life

He was a son of Roger , lord of Joinville . His mother was Adelheid von Vignory.

He was Archdeacon of Langres , in 1164 he became Bishop of Châlons. In November 1179 he assisted as such in the anointing of Philip II August as co-king of France.

Under King Philip II, he joined the Third Crusade . On this he died in the Holy Land, where he was buried.
