Guido Náyar Parada

Guido Náyar Parada (* 1962 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra ) is a former Bolivian politician.

Life

Nayar graduated from the Universidad Autónoma Gabriel René Moreno with a degree in law and practiced the profession of lawyer . At the university he worked in a student organization. From 1989 to 1990 he was employed as a professor and was chairman of the Federación de Empresarios Privados de Santa Cruz (FEPSC), as well as the Brazilian-Bolivian Chamber of Commerce. Cultivated close relationships with Acción Democrática Nacionalista (ADN) and the private sector. From 1992 to 1993 he managed the companies of the Corporación de Desarrollo Santa Cruz , (CORDECRUZ). In 1993 he became a substitute for a constituency in Santa Cruz Department. 1997 nominated by the Acción Democrática Nacionalista (ADN) for the Senate, which however could not send any senators from Santa Cruz after this election. From 1997 to 1999 he was Minister of the Interior in Hugo Banzer's Suárez cabinet . In 1999 he ran for the mayor's office in Santa Cruz de la Sierra and received 10.6% of the valid votes.
