Guillaume Le Blond

Guillaume Le Blond (* 1704 in Paris ; † 1781 ) was a French mathematician , military theorist and encyclopaedist .

Live and act

He was a teacher of mathematics and secretary of the Victoire de France (1733–1799). He held his mathematics professorship in 1736 at the École des pages de la Grande Écurie du roi in Versailles . Although he was not personally a military man, he wrote a large number of military-related works, such as mathematical foundations for officers, fortress building , treatises on battle orders and the like.
