Guitars - the Museum is a guitar museum in Umeå , Sweden . It was opened in January 2014 at the start of the Capital of Culture year . His collection is more than 500 guitars, mostly electric guitars from the 1950s and 1960s. It is probably the world's largest museum of its kind.

The twin brothers Samuel and Michael Åhdén collected all the guitars over the course of four decades. They were never exhibited before 2014. The most spectacular exhibits include a 1958 Gibson Flying V , a 1960 Les Paul, and a 1950 Fender Broadcaster .
