Gujarat Vidyapith

The Gujarat Vidyapith is a state university in Ahmedabad in the Indian state of Gujarat . The name Vidyapith stands for university in most Indian languages. At the university, the use of the regional language Gujarati and Hindi is particularly encouraged in class.

history

The college was founded on October 18, 1920 by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi . It was the first university in British India to be run independently by Indians . Gandhi was Chancellor ( Kula-pati ) of the university until his death . The basic values ​​of the university are based on its ideals:
