Gunda Schneider-Flume

Gunda Schneider-Flume (born May 19, 1941 in Berlin ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Life

Schneider-Flume was born in Berlin in 1941. From 1960 to 1966 she studied theology, classical philology , philosophy and psychology in Bonn, Heidelberg and Tübingen. There she was awarded a Dr. theol. on the political theology of Emanuel Hirsch . In 1983 she completed her habilitation at the University of Tübingen with The Identity of Sinner. An examination of theological anthropology with the concept of the psychosocial identity of Erich H. Erikson . In 1988 she was ordained as pastor of the Württemberg regional church, then she became professor of systematic theology at the University of Heidelberg (1990–1996), the University of Jena (1996–1999) and 1999–2006 at the theological faculty of the University of Leipzig . Most recently she has been giving lectures on issues of religious education, questions of a successful life, and pastoral care for older people. as well as on theological-ethical questions in old age.

  • 2016: ecumenical preaching award for her life's work.
