from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Guntersdorfer Hauswald is part of the Ernstbrunn Forest and is located west of the Lower Austrian town of Hollabrunn . It is 280 hectares and is privately owned by the Possanner family .

history

Initially, the Guntersdorfer Hauswald belonged to the Counts of Spangen. Through the childless couple Baron Kaspar von Kellersperg and Marie, née Countess von Spangen Uyternesse (1866–1948), whose mother was née Ludwigstorff, the forest was inherited by a nephew named Leopold (Freiherr von) Ludwigstorff. Via Helene Possanner, née Ludwigstorff († October 18, 2015;), the forest subsequently became the property of the Possanner family . Today the forest is owned by her and Hans-Georg Possanner's son Nikolaus Possanner.

A hunting lodge stood in the forest until the Second World War , but it was bombed. In retrospect, there was only a small hut. In 2007 a new, larger house was built.
