Possanner von Ehrenthal
Possanner of Ehrenthal is since 1667 detectable from the southern Styria derived Austrian noble family.
Well-known members of the Possanner family ( barons of Ehrental until the nobility was abolished in 1919 ) are:
- Bruno Possanner from Ehrenthal
- Kurt Possanner von Ehrenthal , spy
- Gabriele Possanner , doctor and first woman to do her doctorate at the University of Vienna
- Hans-Georg Possanner , journalist.
The family now owns a forestry near Hollabrunn . With the death of his mother Helene Possanner († October 18, 2015; née Ludwigstorff ), forestry was passed on to her and Hans-Georg Possanner's son Nikolaus Possanner. Ehrental Castle and Meiselberg Castle belonged to the family's former possessions .
