Guo Jia

Guo Jia ( Chinese  郭嘉 , Pinyin Guō Jiā ; * 170 in Yangzhai, Yingchuan (today Yuzhou , Henan ); † 207), age- old name Fengxiao ( Chinese  奉孝 , Pinyin Fèngxiào ), was an adviser to the warlord Cao Cao in the late Eastern Han dynasty .

During his 11 years of service, he supported Cao Cao with his sagacity and foresight. His strategies were the cause of Cao's triumphs over his rivals Lü Bu and Yuan Shao . For example, four years before Cao Cao's victory over Yuan Shao at the Battle of Guandu, he predicted that Cao Cao could win if he highlighted the 10 advantages he had over his opponent.
