Harness (hang glider)

In a hang glider, a harness is the bracket to which the pilot is latched with a snap hook under the hang glider .

use

The harness connects the pilot to the hang glider with a snap hook. Before take-off, the pilot must be fully engaged. Today, the harness is often an apron that holds the pilot on the body with leg loops and textile straps so that he is secured from slipping out during the flight. Depending on the model, the comfort and wind protection differ. An apron that surrounds the entire pilot and gives an aerodynamic, fish-like impression is called a "carp belt".

nature

The harness is different depending on the needs of the pilot, but there are common minimum features. These include variable position adjustment, storage space for the rescue parachute, tow loops, foot protection, pockets with zippers for accessories (possibly also a photo bag) and a multi-point suspension for comfort.
