Gustav Crüsemann (* 1803 in Berlin ; † July 13, 1870 there ) was a German theater actor .

Life

Crüsemann makes his first theatrical attempts at the amateur theater "Urania". After he had prepared for his artistic profession through several years of practice, he entered the royal court stage in 1821 as "Langers" in the comedy "Which is the Bridegroom?" And as "Julius Seltig" in "Vogelschießen", was popular and engaged. Since that time he has belonged to this institute and has worked for it continuously.

When he had to give up the adolescent subject in advanced years, it turned out that he was less suitable for older roles. The artist was therefore retired in 1856.

He was married to the royal Prussian court actress Katharina Margaretha Ursula Lanz (1808–1885). She was a niece of the singer Margarete Luise Schick .
