Gustav Neumann (politician, 1874)

Gustav Ferdinand Neumann (born December 5, 1874 in Wirbeln ( Insterburg district ), † after 1918) was a German teacher and politician ( SPD ).

Neumann attended elementary school, preparatory institute and the teachers' seminar. He first passed the secondary school teacher examination and worked as a secondary school teacher in Königsberg. He later continued his education through university studies and passed the rector's examination. He became a research assistant in the Prussian Ministry for WKuV. Before 1921 he was government and school councilor in Marienwerder, since 1921 government and school councilor in Königsberg, at times also in Gumbinnen. In 1925 he was transferred to aW (on waiting).

Neumann belonged to the SPD. For his party and constituency 1 (East Prussia) he was a member of the Prussian state constitutional assembly from 1919 to 1921 . From 1921 to 1925 he was a member of the provincial parliament of the province of East Prussia for the constituency of Marienwerder (Gumbinnen) . There he was parliamentary group leader of the SPD in the 48th state parliament. From April 6 and July 27, 1921, he was deputy chairman of the provincial parliament. From 1921 to 1926 he was a member of the Prussian State Council .

In addition, from 1916 to 1919 he was editor of the teacher's newspaper for East and West Prussia.
