Gustav Schweisfurth

Gustav Schweisfurth (born April 3, 1928 in Eichen ; † November 8, 2016 there ) was a German entrepreneur , brewing engineer and sports official .

Life

Schweisfurth studied in Düsseldorf. He headed the Eichener Brewery for many years . He worked for his grandfather's company for the first time while still at school. In 2003 he retired.

Schweisfurth joined TV Eichen in 1942 as a young gymnast . In 1958 he began his voluntary work for the association, initially as vice chairman. From 1959 to 1997 he was chairman of TV Eichen for 38 years. When he passed, he was made honorary chairman.

Schweisfurth was also a long-time patron and multiple patron of the Kreuztal choir community.

The marriage with Sonja Bettendorf in 1960 resulted in two sons.

  • Honorary membership at TV Oerlikon, Switzerland
