The TV Eichen 1888 eV is a gymnastics and sports club from Eichen , a district of Kreuztal in Westphalia .

history

The association was founded on February 26, 1888 with 18 members. It currently has around 1,750 members, of which 950 are women and 800 are men; 25 percent of the members are children and young people (as of January 2011). Several times a year it issues a club letter for its members.

The TV Eichen offers the following sports (some in syndicates or associations): volleyball ( SG Eichen-Kreuztal ), athletics , tennis , gymnastics , dance , ju jutsu , handball ( HTV Littfeld -Eichen ), weightlifting ( KG Eichen / Siegen ), Apparatus gymnastics , skiing and hiking .

Events

TV Eichen is the organizer of the "Eichener Triathlon" and the "Kindelsberglauf".

The Eichener Triathlon has been held since 1997. The distances are about 400 meters swimming, 13 kilometers cycling and 4 kilometers running. The competition is for single starters and relays (male, female, mixed and family relays with two adults and one child).

The Kindelsberglauf has been a fun run for men and women that has been held since 1983 over distances of around 20 km, 10 km or 5 km around the Kindelsberg . During the cross-country run, height differences of up to 300 meters and gradients of up to 14 percent have to be mastered. There are different age groups from juniors to seniors. He is part of the redhead running series.

The association offers 225 hours of practice per week. This is made possible by 40 voluntary trainers and 20 helpers as well as the twelve used club-owned and municipal sports facilities. The club's own facilities include four tennis courts and a gym.

Some of the greatest achievements of individual athletes or teams from different departments have been:

    2nd place German B-Youth Championships (2007), German Champion A-Youth (2008), International German Champion (2008) (all Feodora Wendt )

    2nd place German youth relay championships over 4 x 400 m

    Westphalia Championships: TGM - 1st place 2003, 2006 (TGW 3), TGW - 2nd place 2007 (TGW 1), 3rd place 2007 (TGW 3)
  • Orienteering :
    3rd place German championships middle distance (2005), German champion short distance (2008) (both Helga Blöcher)
  • Mountain bike orientation:
    3rd place German championships (Günter Blöcher, 2005)
  • Apparatus gymnastics :
    2nd place German Youth Championships (Linus Hof, 2009)
